We are the only source of this anywhere. Hand-produced here only. What is Dotrix? It is an original art form combining canvas, wood, acrylic, metallic trim and artist ink. The piece is 8 X 10 and is ready to hang on the wall. The piece sticks out just less than an inch from the wall and the art is on the front of it. It is 'gallery stretched' around the frame. The image is made entirely of dots of color on real canvas, each individual colored dot is covered with an individual melted acrylic colored dot. There are colored and clear dots. Clear dots create several effects. It has a remarkable shimmering reflective quality, it feels extremely cool, it will never fade, it almost has a 3D effect to it. From start to finish about 75 hours How did you come up with this? This idea just kind of grew out of experimentation. We liked bead art but wanted to make something more unique with much more detail. No publication, registration or other action in the Copyright Office is required to secure copyright. Copyright is secured automatically when the work is created, and a work is "created" when it is fixed in a copy or a phonorecord for the first time. That being said there are wheels turning to further patented the medium.
