It could have been used as a archer glove or for the sword arm since it fits very much like a glove/mitten with the thumb covering. It laces up on the under side and has 2 straps that fasten with the standard double ‘D’ ring fastener. Very well made and comfortable to wear.. This item was bought from a New Zealander at the Pac/Ren Turners Auction when the XWP and HERC series ended in 2001. This item can come with a copy of the Pac/Ren Turners Auction Receipt as COA, if needed, just request it at close out.
