(see picture below)....It was  made from the Original - 8"by10"- negative; developed and then printed on high grade photographic paper. These are the Official photos that came in Record Company press kits; and distributed to the local media and concert promoters for publication in newspapers and magazines, and to advertise upcoming concerts. ( *these are NOT cheap computerized ink-jet copies ). This is an Excellent item for obtaining AUTOGRAPHS from the musicians. ... You now have a RARE opportunity to own a genuine PUBLICITY PHOTOGRAPH!    * These Backstage Passes  were acquired from the collections of  professional photographers and roadies; who initially started saving all of the passes that were leftover and unused after various concerts and tours. Other passes are from original printing overruns, set-up sheets, color test prints , printers proof sheets, and misprints that had been discarded ]. Many were printed by either; [ OTTO ] Entertainment & Graphics' ; T-Bird or  PERRi . Older cloth fabric adhesive passes from concerts in the 1970's were printed mainly by the local concert promoters; and have plain brown, or white backings.   All of my passes are all in Excellent condition. The cloth ones still have the adhesive backing still intact.... [ COLORS and venues MAY VARY.]                                                                                                   HISTORICAL FACTS about Backstage Passes     The ORIGINAL vintage BACKSTAGE passes I am selling are from actual concert shows performed in the 1970's, 80's, or early 90's.The passes for concerts during the early 1970's were usually printed by the local concert promoter and only a few hundred had to be printed for each venue. Original BACKSTAGE PASSES from the early 1970's were printed on sheets of "adhesive satin cloth". This material was first manufactured under the trademark- ( Mac Tac ),or ( FASSON~ fabric adhesive ).The original passes from this era will have a solid white, brown, or tan colored removable paper backing , with or without a slit scored across the paper..  Years later many backstage passes from concerts in the late 70's and early 80's  started having the  logo designs of  *Security Badge*,  StarLiner ,or ( FASSON~CRACK'n PEEL )  printed all over the paper backing. Then in 1980  the company ~ OTTO,  Entertainment & Graphics, began printing full color Backstage Passes for many bands. By the late 80's either [ OTTO ]  ; and new companies named  'T-Bird' ; or  PERRi  were providing the passes for most major touring bands.       A backstage pass is usually printed on adhesive cloth with a removable paper backing, For the CREW and TOUR STAFF their Identification passes are laminated in plastic.  Backstage Passes were always printed in a much smaller quantity than cardboard Sports Cards. ( Even today only a few thousand are  printed for a specific Band's tour.) Vintage Backstage  Passes from the '1970's and early 80's have become extremely valuable,especially 'Un-used leftovers and printer's proof sheets' from old concerts and tours.The current market value varies for each : Prices for passes usually depend on their age and condition, availability, and weather or not the ARTIST is still alive or dead.           We all collect memorabilia items for a variety of reasons; perhaps to rekindle sentimental memories from our youth,as well as their artistic beauty and intrinsic value, or perhaps you are speculating on investing in various items because you feel that the collectibles will increase in value later on .... { It is a good way to pay for your children's college education.} ..... In the early 1980's a Cincinnati company now known as [ OTTO ] Printing & Entertainment Graphics, began printing passes in full color on custom manufactured , adhesive backed rayon acetate satin cloth.
