Description
In memory of world famous artist Tupac Shakur What is this? This ticket was Tupac Shakurs the evening of the Mike Tyson/Bruce Seldon fight when he was shot multiple times. Tupac died 12 years ago on September 13, 1996.  This is Tupac's actual ticket. This is not a replica. Tupac had this in his hand minutes before he was gunned down.  This one-of-a-kind item commemorates both Tupac's life and death as being the most prolific rap star and entertainer in history. Visit   www.myspace.com/tupacticket for videos Why is this ticket significant? Here's a little history on the ticket as written in an editorial by Cathy Scott dated Dec 5, 1997 in the Las Vegas Sun newspaper. A Calif., man who was given a $1,000 ticket that gave the late rapper Tupac Shakur admission to the Mike Tyson-Bruce Seldon championship fight doesn't know what to do with the used stub. The ticket stub, for Section 4, Row E, Seat 2, which has Shakur's first name handwritten on it, was given to him by Shakur as he walked out of the MGM Grand Garden Arena Sept 7, 1996, following the bout, said the 38-year-old man who asked that his name not be used because he doesn't want to be inundated with telephone calls. "I didn't know who he was at the time," he said. "He was walking with a big guy, who I later found out was Suge Knight. Tupac looked at me and said, 'Here you go, boy. Enjoy this,' and handed me his ticket. He looked at me like I was a regular guy who might want it. '"I stuck it in my pocket. My wife used it as a bookmark for a while." It wasn't until after publicity about Shakur's death six days later that the man realized the ticket might be valuable. Shakur was gunned down near the Las Vegas Strip following the fight by an unknown assailant in a light-colored Cadillac. He remained in a coma until his death Sept. 13, 1996. No suspects have been arrested. Witnesses have said that Shakur and his entourage were sitting ring-side at the fight, which lasted 109 seconds. There was talk also that Shakur and Marion "Suge" Knight, CEO of Death Row Records, under which label Shakur recorded, had argued with several people sitting in their seats. "My wife and I were seated early," he said. "We didn't see any argument. We were sitting close to where the celebrities were sitting. (Charlie) SHeen, Reggie Jackson, Lou Gossett, Tupac, Reverend (Jesse) Jackson. We were rubbing elbows with them all." How did he get to sit behind Tupac? The man and his wife won the fight passes through a contest sponsored by a San Diego radio station. They also won round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations at the Imperial Palace hotel-casino. He's had the ticket stub for more than a year and doesn't know what to do with it. "Maybe someone will want to preserve it. I don't really want it." End of article. How did you get it? Since this article, the man gave it to his brother, a true Tupac fan, where his family and friends have enjoyed it's presence and meaning for over ten years. This ticket deserves to be somewhere it can be seen and enjoyed by everyone. How Do I Know It's REAL? This ticket has been authenticated by PSA/DNA (Nasdaq:CLCT), a $120 Million company.
