Description
This is a Handbill/Program for the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis Minnesota Presents The Who and Koerner, Ray and Glover at The Guthrie Theater. Sunday June 8, 1969 If you look at the photos, you can see some smudges on the paper. It measures 5-1/2 x 8-1/2. I don't know much about these as they are from Jim's collection. See Below From the collection of James (Jim) Melby. Jim has been a collector of all kinds of music and wrestling memorabilia for decades. After Jim passed, his daughter asked my help in selling some of his music and other memorabilia. I have known Jim personally for over 35 years and was with him when he acquired some of these items. Jim’s background; Up until his death, Jim served in Ramsey County, Minnesota as a probation officer. Diabetes took Jim before his time. He loved his family, work, music, professional wrestling, baseball, and other (obscure) sports too. I met Jim while working at Musicland in downtown Minneapolis in the early 70’s. I remember the first time I saw his album collection, I was blown away! Jim worked in several other stores including Northern Lights where he worked behind the counter with a guy in a band called Husker Du. Jim went on to be the tour manager for Husker Du until they signed their major label deal. Jim is well respected in the pro wresting world too. Having written two books (a third was underway at the time of his death) on the subject. He is considered an authority world wide on pro wresting. I am happy to help bring these items to auction on behalf of Jim’s daughter. I did not even know he had some of these jewels until we went through his collection to prepare it for sale. Please email me with any questions. Happy bidding and good luck!
