Lee, when you turn the book upside down and open the back cover it is signed ( For Norman Popiel from John Farrar and C.Y. Lee)  Some history here as Norman Popiel was Eileen Nakamura husband.  Eileen Nakamura was in the original Broadway play and the copy of The Flower Drum Song that has her name in it is signed  ( Congratulations - To Eileen Nakamura - From C. Y. Lee and John Farrar. DATED Dec 1, 1958 which is opening night on Broadway for Rodgers and Hammerstein 2nd, musical hit The Flower Drum Song.  This copy is signed by the following cast members:  Juanita Hall, Arabella Hong, Keye Luke, Jose Ahumada, Paula Chin, Anita Ellis, Helen Funai, Pat Griffith, Luis Robert Hernandez, Betty Kawamura, Baayork Lee, George Li, Wonci Lui, George Minami, Jo Anne Miya, Rose Quong-broadway debut,  Linda Ribuca, Yvonne Ribuca - Sisters, Shawnee Smith, Maureen Tiongco,  these are the names that I can make out, I may have missed some as well.  The actor Jack Soo had his broadway debut in this play as well.  This information was taken from the book and from the ( Internet Broadway Database - IBDB). A copy is included in the sale.  The Flower Drum Song ran on Broadway from Opening:  Dec 1, 1958 thru Closing May 7, 1960;  Total Performances: 600 Included in this sale also is some of the music from the orig. play, A Hundred Million Miracles, both the sheet music and the words, see pictures.  A typed copy of the song Chop Suey that has a hand written note about Perry Como on it, - See Pictures, this also has Eileen's last name written at the top in pencil " Nakamura", .  Two Different papers with the words to the song "A New True Love" the one in ink is on onion skin paper, the second one is written in pencil on the back of the typed words to "A hundred Million Miracles" and this one doesn't have the song's title (A New True Love) so it was before Oscar Hammerstein named it, (See Pictures).  The music score and words for "Grant Avenue, (See Pictures).  The Music score and words for "The Other Generation" plus the typed words on onion skin paper dated - Revised: 11/5/58, this is two (2) sheets the second sheet says "The Other Generation" - Revised: 11/5/58 cont'd.  The music score and words for:  I Enjoy Being A Girl", See Pictures.
