Caruso had these made especially for him by Tiffany for presentation to special people to express his personal appreciation. The coin is 5/8" in diameter and has TIFFANY & CO. 18KT GOLD inscribed on the rim. It dates about 1916. The letter is written by him in Italian, expressing his thanks for a vase that was made for him by Antonio Savastano, a well known artist who worked in copper relief.
