I have filled a house and a barn to the rafters! Some items have been safely in storage for so long that I can't even remember that I have them! So, the time has come to give up many of my treasures. During the next few months (maybe even years), I will be going through my "stuff" and listing wonderful collectibles and antiques from numerous areas of collecting and time periods.   ALFRED HITCHCOCK- Master of Horror & Suspense. Probably best known the movies  "Psycho" and "The Birds". May also be rememered for his trademark cigar and his opening line  "Good E-Ve-Ning" that he used on his television show.    For those of you watching this item, I just added a mutch better scan of this Beautfiul 8 x 10 B & W photo!  Hitchcock has not only signed it, but he also drew his caricature. This autograph was obtained in the 1970s by a friend of mine who lived in the Los Angeles area. She and a friend would go out in the evenings and weekends and get autographs of the stars. This autograph is as good as it gets!   There is no fading or discoloration of the photo. The blue inscription, signature and caricature are dark without any fading at all! No corner damage. I would say that the photo and Hitchcock's writing is as near to pristine as you will find. This photo was a promotional photo used to promote the PBS series THE MEN WHO MADE THE MOVIES. This series featured eight legendary directors. What may appear to look like discoloration in the photo that I took for this ebay listing, is actually background images in the original photo. There is also some glare that my camera picked up from the high gloss of the original photo.   The only thing keeping me from calling this item completely pristine is a minor processing emulsion "flaw" on the finish of the photo. As mentioned, this photo is highly glossy and if you turn it just right in the light, you can see a very thin opaque or almost transparent "line" horizontally across the photo where it appears to be lacking the shine or gloss.
