This one is numbered 1133/1500. This rare item includes plexi display case, numbered plaque and certificate of authenticity. The blaster was opened and inspected and then placed back in the protective box it came in, while the Plexi Display Case and paperwork are unopened. The item comes complete with original shipping carton and all packing materials. The blaster will be carefully double boxed prior to shipping. Master Replicas has lost the license to manufacture and sell Star Wars props making these original prop replicas even more desireable.                                                                                                                                                                 Prop Replica Details: As seen in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope Carefully recreated from original archival materials and fully authorized and endorsed by Lucasfilm Ltd Constructed from durable machined and die-cast metal, each replica is polished and assembled by hand This non-firing replica comes with a presentation box, a museum-quality display case, a polished metal plaque and a Certificate of Authenticity    "... Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon." With these words, one of the greatest characters in motion picture history made his debut. Everything about this rogue with the heart of a hero was captivating. As with everything in the Star Wars saga, the production design surrounding this character was exciting, from his costume to his weapons and gadgets. Unquestionably, Solo's most important piece is his sidearm, a modified Blastech DL-44 heavy blaster. Master Replicas' reproduction of the Star Wars: A New Hope version of Han Solo's blaster pays homage to this piece of motion picture history. Master Replicas conducted extensive research on this prop. Production engineers analyzed all available materials in Lucasfilm's archive, and conducted numerous meetings with the Lucas Licensing staff in an effort to nail down many of the minor details of this prop. Master Replicas' research also included collecting information gleaned from the British prop company that produced the original blaster, the Bapty Company. The following are some of the more important and useful pieces of information that Master Replicas used to create its highly accurate replica: The pistol used as the base for the blaster is an 1896 Mauser C-96 9mm Parabellum. The "flash suppressor" on the end of the barrel is believed to be the nozzle from an antique fire extinguisher. The scope used on the blaster was a WWII-era sighting scope made by a German company, Hensoldt Wetzlar. The "heat sink" on the front of the grip frame was made by gluing together three engine cylinders from a plastic model airplane kit. Unfortunately, at some point during the last 25 years, the original blaster prop was lost, and its location may never be known.
