This is an Early TOS Communicator from a Company Called "Starfleet Fabrications", circa 1971-1974. This is more than likely the very first Fan Made Prop Replica Communicator made and sold back before the Conventions and Magazines sales started. It was made by a Fan Named Michael J. DesChennes and sold exclusively through mail order only by his company Starfleet Fabrications. The Company went out of business in 1976 so these pieces are few and far between. This one has the electronics installed and has the period "Grain o' Wheat" bulbs (They Still Work) plus a "Chirp" sound when flipped open, all in all a fantastic piece. I've only seen a couple of these in my many years of collecting, don't let this one get away....
