I am selling this saxophone for my Dad who no longer plays tenor due to the weight the instrument puts on his neck. He has owned and cared for the instrument since purchasing it new in 1967. He is a musician who has cared for all his professional quality instruments over the years, as well as having 40+ years of being a professional instrument repairman. The Mark VI is 95% original lacquer (some minor lacquer wear), a few very minor dings, the usual sax strap scratches where the strap attaches to the sax body, and light scratches here and there. The neck is the original neck. The pads are in excellent shape and seat beautifully for leak free playing. The instrument is being sold with a beautiful gold Otto Link “Super” Tone Master mouthpiece, ligature, and cap. The case is not the original hard case, but is a Leblanc soft-case leather like case in excellent condition. This is a gem of an instrument and there is no need to wait any longer to bid on one of the best tenor saxophones made in the 20th century.
