Today that figure is one in every 700,000. Here's your chance to own a piece of History! Restored Set of Authentic Drive-In Speakers! Auctioning off a rare set of antique vintage 1950's Simplex "Tombstone" Drive-In Theater Speakers including Junction Box! Complete restoration starting with sand blasting the aluminum castings, and all external/internal components. After the sand blasting process, the speaker castings were painted in a beautiful shade of Silver Hammer Tone metallic.  Simplex script written on the top of the casting identifies the manufacturer of the speakers (see pictures).  Internal/External Parts: New speaker cones NOS potentiometer (volume control) New internal wiring/soldered according to original schematic configuration Brand-new speaker cords Famous White volume control knobs The junction box has been completely refurbished as well. Sand blasted to remove all dirt and oxidation over the years. This piece is in great condition, painted in the same unique Silver Hammered tone finish. Also included: Red defuser lens, allen head set screw to retain J-Box to pole. The J-Box could light up if you wish to install a small low power household light bulb and socket inside the J-Box. You will have to provide your own light, wire, socket, and install accordingly. Circuit board also included to attach speaker wires to your source of music. Illuminated Junction Box Junction box circuit board included Finally, the speakers have been tested to ensure functionality. This speaker set is a not a reproduction item, true restored original from back in the 1950's. They can be use at car shows, around the pool or recreation rooms.
