Description
CD: ELECTRIC MUSIC HALL 2 Price: £11.50(Includes UK postage and packing)CLASSIC BRITISH MUSIC HALL ELECTRICALLY RECORDED (= GOOD SOUND)Edwardian stars recorded 1926 to 1952"...just damned good stuff from start to finish, in magnificient sound. Another must..."Review from MUSIC HALL MAGAZINE October 2003Includes material previously unissued in audio format (sound tracks of Gus Elen, Ella Shields, Sam Mayo, Harry Lauder, Charles Coborn and Tom Costello) along with scarcer electrical recorded material from The Two Bobs, Ernest Hastings, Fred Bluett and others. A very distinctive issue! NB: The Gus Elen's are NOT the usual Decca/Sterno electrics but seldom heard soundtracks. Highlights (amongst many!) include Marie Kendall only commercial (at least accessible) recordings, and the AUSTRALIAN Fred Bluett (said to be worth the price of admission alone!), Sam Mayo but NOT Will Evans (for this writer a total mystery, at least honesty!). "Interesting" presentation (a rather ill-advised mustard yellow coloured back panel!), but with nice photographs inside and out CONTENTS:1.
