It is a rare, vintage Zorlac Metallica skateboard deck made in 1989. It is the second version of the Metallica "Pirate" decks that were made. The wood has an orange woodstain with red Metallica logos. Let me make this very clear: THIS DECK HAS NEVER BEEN RIDDEN OR HAD ANY HARDWARE PLACED UPON IT! There has never been any stickers put on it either. The deck is approximately 31 inches long from the tip of the nose to the back of the tail and it is approximately 9 3/4 inches wide at the widest point and approximately 8 1/2 inches wide near the tail. This deck has been stored in its original box since I got it as a Christmas gift 19 years ago, and has only been removed a few times to "show it off" to very jealous Metallica friends! The only blemishes on this deck are located on the white area of the bone coming out the top of the skull. One appears in the white are just below the first "L" in Metallica and the other appears as a thin line just above the "A & L" in Metallica. They are very minor and very difficult to spot unless your really looking for them (check the supersize photos for a closer look). They were there when I got it. Remember that these older vintage decks were not wrapped or sealed like many decks are today. It could have been an error with the graphic when they applied it. Anyways, I just wanted to make the buyer aware of those two very small areas. Other than that, this deck is awesome!! One of the very few, rare, hard to find Metallica items out there these days. Would be a great item to have autographed now that the Metallidudes will be out on tour supporting their new cd in a few weeks!!
