This guitar is very rare as it is no longer in production and is one of very few DV8 guitars left in Dave's personal collection. Dave used this guitar while on "Blackmail The Universe" World Tour. Dave personally chose the metallic silver paint to match his silver Mercedes and the name "DV8" was chosen to symbolize his departure ("Deviated") from Jackson Guitars. The 8-ball inlay on the first fret was chosen to symbolize the 8 in DV8. This Professional Model ESP DV8 Signature Dave Mustaine Custom Guitar has several customizations. It comes with Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck Humbucker pickups and was the one of the last DV8's to include these pickups, as Dave's custom pickups would soon be created and a part of the production line. The guitar also features mini fret wire, mother of pearl inlays, Jim Dunlop Straplocks, Sperzel locking tuners, and large knurled knobs.
