Description
One of the most astounding store displays I have ever seen. Look at the first photo to see that this kit was intended to dress an entire window---and all the pieces are here! 1930s Paramount Studios stars Helen Twelvetrees, Claudette Colbert, and Wynne Gibson are all featured. There is a large freestanding sign standee made up of all words, a large Max Factor "backdrop" piece, plus 2 small "corner caps". These 2 corner caps are shown with the instructions--and all 3 of these items took the brunt of the moisture staining when the outer shipper box was wet. MIraculously all the other material got out virtually unscathed.As you can see, the main part of the display with the 3 women has a "like new" overall apearance.....set up, it is simply stunning....high gloss, unfaded, strong condition. PLEASE NOTE--look at photos carefully! For example the 2 women on the right, they have separated at the seam---it's a simple seam split at the scoring line for the fold . Because of the age of this item, the fold seams in a lot of places are fragile and some are beginning to separate. Backing these weak areas with a good strip of archival tape will work wonders for the stability. Pay particular attention to the 3 popout areas showing the Max Factor products---powder, rouge,, lipstick, etc. These areas are die cut and popout.....the lipstick wasn't popped out in the photo though. As the photos show, the back of the "woman display" sustained some light moisture damage to the surface really only resulting in surface discoloration. The shipper obviously has sustained a lot of abuse but it protected these items well !! Overall the entire kit rates a solid fine by anyone's standards and certain parts are even better....just keep in mind the need for reinfircing several of the seams BEFORE trying to assemble.
