Merrie Melodies Looney Toons letterhead. This Oscar and Emmy winning animator, producer, and director is regarded as one of the major figures in his field. He animated Warner Bros' lst cartoon in 1930 and would go on to create Porky Pig, Yosemite Sam, and Sylvester, among others. His "Pink Panther" cartoons are still favorites of all ages.His colleagues during the Warner Brothers years based many of their Yosemite Sam drawings on him based on his short stature and tendency for sudden explosive outbursts.
