JULIA / LYDIG HOYT STAGE SILENT FILM ACTRESS SOCIALITE 1921 WOMANS HOME COMPANION COVER by NEYSA MCMEIN This "Auction/Sale" is for the October 1921 "Woman's Home Companion" cover pictured only. Other items are from my personel collection and not for sale. NOTE: I am interested in anything pertaining to Socialite/Stage Actress/Silent Film Star JULIA HOYT, also Julia Robbins and LYDIG HOYT - LYDIG HOYT after one of her marriages. Mrs. Hoyt was considered to be one of the most Beautiful woman of her time and was painted by various artists such as Illustrator Neysa McMein (Twice for the "Woman's Home Companion") and Howard Chandler Christy, she was also Photographed by famous artists Man Ray, Gabor Edger and others. Mrs. Hoyt had her own line of clothing as noted in the September 15, 1925 VOGUE Magazine, Julia Hoyt Modes inc. at 500 Seventh Avenue in New York City. In the same VOGUE issue she appears in ad for Ponds facial creme and appeared in numberous other ads for Beauth products. Also a writer, she wrote for Pictorial Review and other Magazines about New York Society. Being a noted Humanitarian Upon her death at age 58 she left her estate of one million dollars to 14 Charities which included orphaned War Children as well as the Animal League of New York. Even her eyes were left to the Eye bank and any personnel Debt was forgiven. WANTED Photographs, playbills, Theatre items, ads, magazine covers or any items pertaining to her that I do not have.
