Description
Several items from the estate of a long time Hoot Gibson collector.  This collection includes many items from Hoot himself and his wife Dorothy. The set/collection includes a personal made western beaver hat for Hoot Gibson by Disney hats of New York and Rothachilds, which was located in NY.  The hat has Hoot Gibson's name inside on the sweatband. The hat is in good shape considering its age. It is very dusty and could use a cleaning.  There are two shirts that were worn by Mr. Gibson. They are very old and were made by Miller Shirts of Denver. They are in great condition and have Mr. Gibson's name in those as well.  There also may be a Monogram Studio stamp, but can't remember for sure.  The boots are the personal boots of Mr. Gibson's wife Dorothy Gibson, who was a rodeo performer in her own right.  They are signed inside by her.  Several photo's that came from Ms. Gibson are in this collection. Some are signed by Dorothy and some by Hoot himself.  They are old photo's and have lots of info on the back.  The photographer, studio etc.  There is an original poster from Monogram Studio's of "The Trail Blazers".  This poster hung in Gibson's house in North Hollywood and later in Las Vegas, NV.  There is a rare comic of Hoot Gibson and its in great shape.  All pages are there and the graphics on the cover are very nice. The sterling silver item is a presentation plate given to Hoot Gibson by C.P. "Chick" Macgregor, Potentate of the Al Malaikah Shrine Temple in Los Angeles, California., for his help with one of their rodeo's.  It is dated 1958. Some of these items came from Hoot Gibson's cameraman for 38 of his pictures/movies, the late Virgil E. Miller.  Other items came from Dorothy Gibson herself and there is a letter from her stating that information.  The owner of this estate collection decided to sell this as a group instead of each individual item due to the large quanity of other items we have yet to sell from the collection.
