I went to a local garage sale that had your typical clothing and everyday household items, except that on a table were about a dozen movie scripts which at a glance appeared to be authentic scripts with signatures of actors and actresses. I was informed that one of the ladies involved in the sale was the niece of a movie actor and that this actor had given these movie scripts to her. That’s all the history I received at the sale. I bought all of the scripts. I can clearly see from the scripts that the uncle actor is Tom Christopher who has had many parts in various movie theater films and T.V. movies. About half of the scripts have various assorted pen written signatures on them. These scripts do not come with a Certificate of Authenticity. This was an actual garage sale. I am not a handwriting expert or authority on these items. However, after looking over the scripts coupled with the above history, it is my personal belief that Actor Tom Christopher used these scripts in filming of movies in which he played a part. It is also my personal belief that at some point he obtained hand written in pen original signatures of the actors who played a part and other crew involved in the film or movie. In other words, it was simply one actor in the movie asking another actor for their signature on the script. This auction is for a fifth draft 1996 Selena Film Productions, Inc. script of the movie Selena staring Jennifer Lopez and Edward James Olmos. Actor Tom Christopher played a part in this famous movie. The name Jennifer Lopez and a drawn heart with the name “selena” in quotes written half in and half out of the heart is hand written in pen on the title page of this script. Above the name Jennifer Lopez is the name Edward James Olmos hand written in pen. It is my personal belief that these are authentic original signatures of these actors. Also, written in pen on the title page are the words: Love you Kelly! Uncle Tom Christopher. The name Tom C. is also hand written in pen at the top of the script. The script is inside a 3 ring black binder. The binder is split in some areas, but still holds together. The binder has writing and a partial sticker on the outside, which may have been done later by the niece? The script is in good condition. The script has 000175 stamped on every (reddish pink) page of the script. Behind the 120 or so pages of script, are 12 pink stapled pages of the movie’s contact list with businesses names and phone numbers (airlines, car rentals, hotels, etc). Behind that is an 8 white page stapled document of the movie’s Art Dept. Contact List. It also contains Names, addresses and phone numbers (art supplies, flowers, furnishings, etc.). Behind that is an 18 pink page stapled document. It contains a Selena Crew List. It has names and contact information of numerous people involved in the film from the producer Bob Katz , executive producer Abraham Quintanilla, writer Gregory Nava, etc all the way to wardrobe assistant). No contact information is on these lists for Jennifer Lopez or other main actors. A small cardboard movie advertisement (stained, maybe coffee, on one end) was also in the binder and is included. Also at the garage sale lying on top of the scripts was a pin/button from the Selena movie. This is included in this auction. Someone wrote in pen on page 2 of the script identifying the main stars and Tom Christopher, and also wrote on page 105 documenting Mr. Christopher’s part as the “presenter” in the movie. SEE PHOTOS.
