The guitar was autographed by Martie Maguire, Natalie Maines, and Emily Robison. Emily did the little “Dixie Chicks” drawing in the middle. The silver autographs look stunning on the high gloss black background. The autographs almost “pop” off the top. It really is a very nice looking guitar. Being one of the only guitar players at a charity auction a few years ago I was kind of “forced” into buying this guitar. It is a sharp looking guitar but I really don’t have any place to display it. I don’t play it, as I don’t want to scratch up the top. And I am not even a big Dixie Chicks fan. I don’t even want to tell you how much this guitar cost me… even though the money went to a good cause (a children’s charity for kids with eye problems)… lets just say no matter how high the bidding goes… I am sure you will be buying this guitar for THOUSANDS of dollars less than I paid for it. The guitar itself is a very sharp looking Alvarez RD20SBK with a high gloss black piano finish. The guitar is almost new and has not been played since I bought it. The guitar features a solid spruce top with a rosewood fingerboard and mahogany back and sides. As far as higher end student guitars go, this is pretty decent guitar. The guitar comes with an upgraded Alvarez archtop wood hard shell case. The guitar case is a light tan color and there are a few dark marks on the fabric from when I had to check the guitar as luggage to get it home. Other than that the case is perfect. Condition: This guitar is in excellent almost new condition. On a scale from 1 to 10 I would say the guitar is a strong 9. The front and back look great. The neck is perfect. The rosewood fingerboard is perfect and there is no fret wear. As far as I know this guitar has only played a few D chords and maybe half a dozen A chords since it was made… The guitar still has the original strings and all the case candy complete with the unsigned limited lifetime warranty card. After the Dixie Chicks signed the guitar it went into the case and that was it. This guitar (without autographs) retails for $375 but you can find them in the big box guitar stores for about $250.
