Description This is an authentic, extremely RARE, very large, original poster from the Andrew Lloyd Webber Musical “Cats”. It has never been displayed and has been rolled up safely for the past 16 years. It was given to me by one of the actual cast members of the cast of “Cats” when I worked as an usher at the FOX Theatre in Detroit, Michigan (see picture 2.).   The poster has no major creases and has never been on displayed, and there are NO tape marks on it. There is only one small tear on the lower left corner of the poster (less than 1/2 inch) not noticeable especially if it is framed (hard to see in the photo also). There are some minor bends from being rolled up so long, but will be smoothed out once it is displayed in your home, office or theatre. There is some dirt on the word Cats-not really noticable-(see picture 4.) For how old it is the poster is in very good condition. It measures 83 ½”  inches by 42”. This poster is so large that it was printed in two pieces (see picture 3.).   Once combined (I overlapped them in the first picture) the poster looks seamless, life-size and very beautiful. I had a hard time taking a picture of the full poster because of its size, which is why I have it at an angle-the VHS tapes are weighing the poster down, you can also get a sense of how large it is in relation to the VHS tapes. Picture 3. shows the two halves of the poster, when combined it looks like one large poster. This is a very hard to find poster from a beloved musical, and what made it even more special was the fact that it was given to me by one of the cast members. The only reason I am selling it is that I don’t have the room to put it up on display. The poster is wrapped in plastic and will be shipped in a very heavy poster tube for protection.
