I am offering this rare prop used in "A Chorus Line" Film, the great Columbia Pictures motion picture based on this classic Broadway Musical.   This ORIGINAL Rare PROP Gold Sequin TOP HAT is seen and used on the set in the closing scenes of the CHORUS LINE film...it was made & designed by Faye Poliakin and her costume department at Columbia Pictures...this Screen-Used Sequin TOP HAT sits inside a large Museum quality Plexiglass Case on a double stack black stand...it can be removed from the case and is a beautiful display piece for your media room or living room...it also has an engraved brass plaque identifying this very rare and unique prop...   This Top Hat has nice detail using gold sequin that covers a white hard plastic material.   The PROP is well made, but is not one of the hero hats that is used by the stars in the movie...these Top Hats were obviously used by the cast that really made up the true "chorus line" in the large group number! You would think these would be really fancy hats, but they're not!  As a TV Director, I do know you only need a prop to "look good" on camera...so, these are not lined and probably not comfortable to wear.  It's just a beautiful looking prop on the outside that the dancer uses to make the scene look flashy! It has elastic straps inside so the actor can either wear it on his head or hold it to maneuver in the "ONE" musical number...it is screen used and shows wear, has some slights cracks inside, but do not affect the outside of the hat...GREAT "CHORUS LINE" Collectible! This Gold Sequin TOP HAT PROP is a Screen-Used Original that comes straight from the set at the Mark Hellinger Theater where the movie was shot and was stored in an acid free sleeve before being inserted on the display stand...    The magnificent Display Case measures approximately 14" Wide,  13" Deep x  12" High.
