You have won Billy Joel's signed "Piano Man" CD! We sincerely appreciate the generous donation which entered your name in this special drawing. The letter then goes on & tells about the Make -a- Wish Foundation & it is signed at the bottom by the Volunteer Event Chairperson. This letter will be included with the Signed CD (The paper cover was signed not the CD inside). Also included is the Make a Wish Envelope which has in Red Pretty Letters which reads: BILLY JOEL SIGNED CD. The original clear paper wrap was apparently removed so Billy Joel could sign his name. The CD is inside & I never played it or took it out of the plastic case! I was planning on getting it framed one day to hang on the wall, but never got around to it. It should look Awesome matted & Framed! ~ Billy Joel was born in May 1949 & is an American rock musician & singer-songwriter. He released his first hit song, "Piano Man", in 1973. According to the RIAA, he is the sixth best selling recording artist in the United States. He had Top 10 hits in the '70s, '80s,and '90s & is a six time Grammy Award Winner & has sold in excess of 150 million albums worldwide. He was inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Long Island Music Hall of fame. He retired from recording pop music in 1993 but continued to tour , sometimes with Elton John. Elton John said: "I,m going on the road again with Billy Joel again next year". It's slated to begin in March 2009. PIANO MAN was released in 1973. The title track is one of his signature tracks and a seminal song in piano rock. It remains a concert standard, and is the source of Joel's nickname. Piano Man became his breakthrough album.
