I am selling a rare and unbelievable costume prop from the Broadway show Gypsy starring Bernadette Peters. Up for auction is a pin of a rose, worn on stage by Bernadette Peters as the Character Rose. It was sold at a special performance of Gypsy to bennifit Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids, a HUGE charity organization that the Broadway community supports. At the performance I saw, following the show Gypsy, Bernadette came on stage and plugged the charity. She told the audience they were acccepting donations but were also selling special items like autographed posters and shirts, and also costume pieces such as Gypsy's stripper gloves. But when she announced they were selling a rose pin worn on stage by herself, the crowd went WILD! And needless to say, my friends and I all pooled our money together and bought this peice of Broadway history! But sadly I need to part with it now. The pin comes in a box, and the box is autographed by Bernadette herself. It says "Love Bernadette Peters," written in blue pen. For jewelry people out there, sadly I have no clue what it is made of. There are shiny clear rocks all over it, but I have no clue what type of stones they are. I can not answer any questions on pin specifics. It is sold as is.
