Description
Here is a very rare piece of Rock and Roll history. I am offering 1 Beatle ticket from their second only US performance taped by CBS for the Ed Sullivan Show at the Deauville Hotel, Miami Beach on Feb 16, 1964. This ticket is stamped in red "Rehearsal Only" for the 2:30-3:30 show. I have 2 of these tickets numbered 1139 and 1140. I will be listing the 1140 ticket on E-Bay in about a week. These rare gems are 100% original as I was working in a storage facility in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1978 and a person was moving his stuff out. I was given thse tickets in exchange for some labor and they are in the same condition today as they were then. I have pictured the front and back of 1139 for this auction. I also pictured both 1139 and 1140 together to show the number sequence. Please don't be confused by this. This auction is for ONE BEATLE TICKET ONLY, that being number 1139. Condition of this ticket: I am an automotive worker, not an antique ticket seller but I will try to describe this ticket to the best of my ability. I don't exactly know what a mint ticket would be like but after talking to some collectors, I feel this one would have to be close to it. It is actually hard to believe that a 44 year old Beatle ticket given out as complimentary could still look this good. It has at one time been folded, and it has a puncture from the usual staple near one end. It has the best color of the 2 tickets and is the best one by far.
