Description
Happy Holidays from Splattstore!  These make GREAT gifts.  There's still time to get them, frame them, collage them or laminate them to make a very cool UNIQUE present for someone (or for yourself). Orders totalling over $50 will get a FREE authentic OBAMA "Yes We Did" sticker by Shepard Fairey.   One of the hottest artists on the planet - check out his OBEY GIANT website for some very cool (and next to impossible to buy) art. Here's a chance to put some on your wall at a very affordable price. This set includes FOUR (4) pieces - each one measures approximately 3.5 x 4.5 inches in size.    These were carefully sliced out of a bunch of expensive coffee-table poster books to give you JUST THE BANDS YOU WANT. Super high quality, heavy stock glossy paper with beautiful fantastic color. VERY COOL. Perfect for framing, laminating, bulletin boards, collages, scrapbooks, or shoeboxes. ** MAKES FOR GREAT and UNIQUE GIFT IDEAS !!! Check out my other auctions for more band sets. FREE SHIPPING on each additional set.   Frequently Asked Questions:   Aren’t these just pictures that you cut out of books?   Yes, but these are not just ordinary books.  The paper is super high quality, good thick stock with stunning color and finish.  When these pieces are removed from the books and nicely trimmed they take on a whole new visual appeal.  And when they are combined into sets, they make a very unique presentation. Isn't this an illegal violation of copyright laws? NO. These are perfectly LEGAL to sell and do NOT violate any copyright laws.  If these were photocopies, or another form of reproductions, THAT would be a different matter, but these are the actual images CLIPPED OUT from books I own.  When you own a book it is perfectly legal to sell it, and it is also perfectly legal to cut it up into little pieces and sell the pieces.  You CANNOT copy or reproduce it, which I am not doing here.    Couldn’t I just cut these out of the books myself?   Sure.  But most of these books will cost $30 - $40 (or more).  Also some of these sets combine pieces from multiple sources so you would have to buy 2 or 3 different books.  And also, if you have the book, would you really want to ruin a perfectly nice copy by slicing pages out of it?   What books do these come from?   I started out with the two “bibles” of poster books, The Art Of Rock, and The Art Of Modern Rock.  Since then, I have expanded my sources to more than 35 different books, including both editions of Swag, most of the Frank Kozik books, both of the Jim Phillips books, a couple of titles each by Rick Griffin and Stanley Mouse, all the various Fillmore books, Cult Rock Posters, the Great Street Art books, and a bunch of others.   Are these really that cool?   Just check some of my feedback.  I’ve sold hundreds of these sets now and people tell me that they are even better than they expected (most of my pictures do not do justice to how good these look in real life) and that they look fantastic when framed or mounted.  (People are also very pleased with my careful packaging and quick shipping too.)   Here's some actual recent feedback (Thanks Folks!):   ***Product was WAY MORE AWESOME than expected; fast shipping. Stellar Job!! ***sooo happy with this transaction!!! Thank you--great seller!!! ***i must say....yes these are cool! thanks... ***Wow! These look great, can't wait to frame everything.
