BLADE 2 SCREEN-USED Hero metal Sword movie prop costume Start Price USD 4,500.00 Current Price USD 4,500.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, October 04, 2008 End Time Tuesday, October 14, 2008 Location Orlando, Florida See more about 'BLADE 2 SCREEN-USED Hero metal Sword movie prop costume' Description TrooperAuctionWATKINS   __________________________________________________________________________   __________________________________________________________________________       __________________________________________________________________________      You are bidding on the original screen-used hero metal Sword used by Wesley Snipes as Blade in the hit movie BLADE 2!   __________________________________________________________________________       _____________________________________   This is the original screen-used hero Sword, used by Wesley Snipes in the incredible sequel hit movie BLADE 2!   THIS IS A MOVIE PROP AND NOT A REAL WEAPON!  ALTHOUGH THE BLADE DOES HAVE A POINT THE DOUBLE-EDGED BLADE IS A FALSE THEATRICAL EDGE (for safety of actors!)   This full-metal sword was used by Wesley Snipes as Blade throughout the movie, and can be easily screen-matched at several points throughout (see screen-shots below!).  The sword blade itself is custom-made of polished metal and attaches to the handle, which is also made entirely of metal (not resin like the more common 'hero' swords!).  The handle itself is made in three different pieces, and can be taken apart and re-assembled.  This also acts as a locking mechanism to hold the blade to the handle, so the blades could be swapped out for stunt blades during production.   This is a truly incredible hero piece which was used predominantly by Snipes throughout the movie.  This particular sword would have been used for close-ups and extreme detail shots, as the swords with resin handles tended to be less detailed close to camera.  Just take a look at the photos of the sword for yourself - it is STUNNING!  And you will not see a "made in china" stamp anywhere on this sword!  This is the real thing!  Why settle for a cheap replica when you can now own the actual sword used by Blade in the movie!   This sword was retained by Newline Cinema in their private display following the end of production of the movie.
