The series of posters, which continue to be issued to this day, have become quite collectible and early examples rarely show at auction.  The image is of Fats Houston, the definitive grand marshal of the Eureka marching jazz band. With his signature derby hat in one hand and woven straw fan in the other, he was the embodiment of all the dignity and style that New Orleans jazz could and did attain.  Print is mounted to a foam board and is in fair to good condition.  There are some minor creases apparent from the mounting process.  If anything I have exaggerated this condition with flash photography as they were not noticeable to me from a regular viewing distance.  Also note that some damage exists outside of the printed area from removal of a mat.  Again, THIS DOES NOT EXTEND INTO THE PRINTED AREA.  Own a very special piece of New Orleans music history!
