Description
Genuine Diamond Guaranteed eOriginal 1960's Concert PosterDoug Clark and His Hot NutsSize- 14" x 22" An original Doug Clark and His Hot Nuts boxing style cardboard show poster. This vintage Fillmore-Era window card advertises a show that took place at the Webb Student Center on the Old Dominion University campus in Norfolk Virginia. Doug Clark and His Hot Nuts were a popular R&B novelty band specializing in music with somewhat risque lyrics and titles like "Hot Nuts", "My Ding-a-Ling", "Big Jugs", "He's Got the Whole World by the Balls", "Baby Let Me Bang Your Box", and "Gay Caballero". It has also been alleged that the Hot Nuts were the model for the Otis Day and the Knights group in the movie Animal House. So it's kind of appropriate that this dance was sponsored by Theta Xi Fraternity. Note- Free Beer! This poster is in good condition over all, although it has several defects such as a tear from the top edge, stain at the right edge, and damaged lower right corner.
